We are working hard these days to fulfill our mission to “grow committed followers of Jesus Christ.” Part of that mission is to provide a safe and healthy environment for faith development.
Ministry in these times requires flexibility and adaptation. We want to take a moment to let you know what we are doing to make decisions about ministry opportunities in the fall.
We continue to base our decisions on guidelines prepared by the Centers For Disease Control and local health information provided by the Racine County Health Department.
Our ministry cluster coordinators will be meeting July 21st to discuss any adjustments needed for our fall programming. And the church Board will be meeting August 11th to assess the current risk level and impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak in our local community.
We are also interested in feedback from you and our community about ministry at North Cape. Recently, Pastor Brad Brown has sent surveys to families of our First Communion Students and Confirmation Students. He has also reached out to families with newborn children regarding safe practices for baptisms.
We continue to provide weekly worship services online through YouTube and daily prayers on Facebook. Our prayer chain continues through phone and email distribution. And we continue limited in-person worship with the use of masks and social distancing. (Please sign up to attend on Sunday by visiting our website: www.northcapelutheran.org).
Thank you for your prayers and your patience as we plan to provide ongoing faith development in the coming weeks and months.
Yours in Christ,
Tammy Baumann, President
Rev. Brad Brown, Pastor
